Dow Fibre Solutions (DFS), a business unit of the Dow Chemical Company has confirmed participation in Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics 2005 scheduled to run from 26 – 29 October at Shanghai New International Expo Centre. Dow Fiber Solutions a world leader in functional fabrics, will showcase its latest innovation in DOW XLA stretch fibres on a stand of over 130sqm.

"We've been listening to our customers since we first entered this market,” says Juan-Carlos Cuadrado, global business director for Dow Fiber Solutions. “Our customers in Asia and around the world who produce fabrics want to use DOW XLA fiber in wool, knits and no-wrinkle stretch cottons, areas where they tell us the product delivers exceptional differentiated performance.”

DFS is already collaborating with top Asian spinners, mills and sourcing companies to create stretch fabrics that contain DOW XLA fiber. In the U.S., DOW XLA fiber has succeeded in launching stretch into men's dress shirts through leading brands and retailers Perry Ellis, Tommy Hilfiger, and Calvin Klein. Marks & Spencer and NEXT in Europe promoted this new performance stretch in women's apparel, further expanding stretch choices for consumers
