According to the latest data from China Customs, in the first five months of 2012, the total import and export reached 1510.89 billion USD, rising 7.7% from the same period last year. Of which, the export were 774.4 billion USD, rising 8.7%; import 736.49 billion USD, rising 6.7%.

Of which, the garment export from Jan. to May reached 52.57 billion USD, rising 2.5% year over year; textile export reached 38.07 billion USD, down by 1.4%.
