In possession of 67.5thousand all kinds of manufacturing machines, the industry can produce 166million pieces of woolen sweaters each year, 61% of which are sold to Russian and countries in Europe, America, Middle East, and Southeastern Asia.

Chenghai woolen sweaters especially women's fashions have their unique style. Using the traditional handmade technologies of Guangdong embroidery and drawnwork, Chenghai woolen sweaters enjoys a popular market in the field of woolen sweater business. Under the flexible mechanism of private enterprises, many large-scale exemplary enterprises emerged like Hongtai and Jiamao. JinQi, HongTai, are awarded as Famous Brands of Guangdong and Wanfeng, Hongtai, Xiongye are brands promoted and recommended by Shantou city.
